Tuesday featured the first annual end of year Houndy Awards! HoC put on their best suits and dresses and various other stuff and walked the red carpet. The categories, their nominees, and the winner bolded,

MAJOR AWARDS
Member of the Year: Corrahn, Klypsafya, Dalindor, Edgekrusher(tie)
Rookie of the Year: Vienka, Animism, Lolskate, Kroxigar, Nicodarues
Crafter of the Year: Locaste Charisma Hearber Harleequin
Most Versatile of the Year: Dalindor Dremos Kowalas Hearber Harleequin(tie)
Online and On Time Award: Lorrenn Corrahn Polyethelene Doublehawk
The Un-song Hero Award: Gerica Polyethylene Klypsafya Lorrenn

MINOR AWARDS
Admiral of the Fail Fleet Award- Dalindor Edgekrusher Arriezz Corrahn

The glamorous evening started with the entire guilds acknowledgment that Corrahn is a massive coward. In another non-surprise, Lopes took home the stoned-raider award in another blowout vote. Continuing with the domination, skink won raid leader of the year, and Edgkrusher won the worst connection award.

From that point on the remaining awards were all very close votes. It started with HoC narrowly honoring "Smiling-Maddog Lisa Sharkhands The Icequeen" Gerica as the Thuglife gangsta of the year. Truly she is born of the streets. Later, in the first tie of the evening, Dalindor and Arriezz tied as the Admirals of the Failfleet. The tie was broken when it was revealed that Dalindor had voted for himself in that category, which automatically brought his level of failure to a level too high to not recognize.

Moving onto the major awards, in an extremely close vote, Polyethelene edged out two of her fellow nominees by a single vote in the unsong hero award. The other nominees will continue to be ignored despite their constant contributions. The on line and on time award went to corrahn, despite many people feeling klypsafya had been snubbed after not even being nominated in the first drama/controversy of the night. Kanye had something to say about it. Later Dalindor and Kowalas tied for most versatile player of the year, which caused more uproar that Harleequin and Hearber had potentially been robbed. As the crowd got tense, Harleequin took home Crafter of the Year, and that helped to ease the tensions on the night. In another close vote, Vienka won rookie of the year, to raucous applause and general jubilation of the onlookers.

But the first ever Houndy awards had one trick yet up their sleeves. In a vote of 10-10-9-8 the 2009 Member of the Year was a tie between Klypsafya and Corrahn! Dalindor could have tied to had he bothered his own father enough to vote! It was a shocking finish to a wonderful evening. Congratulations to all winners and the race is on for next years awards!

The latest surprise to rear its head from Blizzard's ugly bag of tricks is the new Massive Boredom aura that permeates throughout the entirety of their latest raid, the Trial of the Grand Crusader.

"Its so hard to stay awake," said a yawning Hearber. "Its like sitting on a really comfortable couch and then listening to a book on tape about the color beige."

The term originates from beige cloth, a cotton fabric left in its natural color. It has since come to be used for a range of light tints chosen for their neutral or cool appearance.
Beginning in the 1920s, the meaning of the term beige expanded to the point where it is now also used for a wide range of pale brown shades, in case you were wondering

"When I'm dpsing, I can barely keep my eyes open at all, i keep nodding off," said Doublehawk, who felt that meth was his best option to stay alert.

"When i fall asleep, I dream of better content," Gerica said.

Nevertheless, Hellhounds of Chaos snored their way through normal mode 25M Trial, and thus far have knocked off three bosses in 25M Trial of the Grand Crusader. The latest of which were the heroic Faction Champions.

A big hearty congratulations to Charisma on the completion of his Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings

This was a triply good week for HoC, although we did not take any screenshots. But, even better, is this professional artists rendition of our accomplishments in the last two weeks.

We also celebrated last week our ten man group as they completed Glory of the Ulduar Raider (10 player)

Also a grats to Scottyy who several weeks ago completed the Mountain o' Mounts achievement! Which is either a horde first or was pretty close.

'King of Dead' is Pop

Just a few days after the death of the King of Pop, the Old God Of Death released a pop album.

"I appreciate the somewhat bizarre nature of whats going on here," Yogg-Saron said in a statement released yesterday, "...obviously we had no way of knowing that this sort of unique situation would arise." Yogg also mentioned that the date of the release of his debut album "Love Mouth"was determined months ago. "My producers felt that we should push it live, it just felt like the right time."

Yogg-Saron's debut album will feature eleven songs, including:"You make my brain hurt," "C'thun is a mother fucker and nothing more," and "I've got tentacles and I know how to use them."

"I'm hoping my fresh style will really click with the younger people," said Yogg-Saron optimistically.

But many could not look past the irony of a being of death becoming a pop star the same week that a pop star became dead. "I'm not sure I can overlook that," stated HoC's Hearber, memberof the guild that defeated Yogg-Saron this week. "It's weird."

"I still haven't even decided if living without MJ is even worth it, let alone try to embrace a brand new artist fresh onto the scene," said Lorrenn, who later revealed he was considering committing suicide so that he could be with micheal jackson.

"Micheal Jackson's the one who taught me to Beat It,".......stated........Corrahn! "By 'it' I assumed he meant 'her'"

Antechamber Down As Officers, Raiders Continue to Hammer Out New Collective Bargaining Agreement

Though HoC knocked off the Antechamber of Ulduar, it did little to alleviate the growing tensions between management and raiders. Negotiations for a new contract entered a sixth tense night of negotiations.

"We want to raid, we want to be out there, but not if we aren't getting millions of dollars and weakened steroid policies," stated Klypsafya, who despite being female can bench-press certain small trains.

The old collective bargaining agreement, which started in early 2007, is scheduled to expire the second week in June.

"I think we made a lot of progress tonight," said Gerica, managements press secretary, "I know we had Corasha and Dramyst in there and they sounded positive after tonight's negotiations."

"We both want the same thing here," Charisma, raiders lead representative, "I am confident that we can work something out."

The recent developments are a lighter tone to early last week, when contract talks were rumored to get ugly behind closed doors. Raiders Doublehawk had reportedly sent this text to another raider in the guild:

"Jimony fuckington Corrahn just threw a chair through the God-damned window"

.... something that Dramyst took time to address to reporters outside the buiding were the negotiations were being held, "Yes thats true, but it wasn't related to the talks, it was because his secretary messed up his coffee order and he was trying to teach her a lesson."
